The Bean Factory, established in 2001, is an independently owned, local coffee shop and roastery in St. Paul. When we bought the vacant building we envisioned a specialty coffee shop serving the community by bringing only the best coffees, roasted to perfection. We are dedicated to providing our customers with the highest quality coffee beans from a variety of different countries. Each bean is carefully roasted to achieve its unique flavor profile. We pride ourselves in our knowledge of the coffees we serve.
Originally roasting in a 6 lb roaster we now roast every bean on the premises’ in a 25 kilo Probat small batch roaster. This increase is largely due to the fantastic community support we have received. We serve our customers with the best possible coffee by taking orders and roasting daily to fit their needs. We serve three different coffees daily; one decaf and two regular coffees from different countries. If you don’t find your favorite coffee on the menu, we will make you an individual cup of coffee at our brew bar just ask and we will brew it for you!
Parking was easy even on a Sunday afternoon, I was able to park on a side street a few minutes away. I got the reccomended drink, the blackberry dark chocolate mocha and it was delicious! Have been getting beans here for years! Great neighborhood spot to visit, hang out, etc. Sometimes wifi is down, so not always reliable place to get work done, but otherwise great!!
Hands down the best coffee shop around. My partner and I adore this local gem. They serve truly some of the best drinks I’ve had anywhere – Mexican mocha is to die for!
A cozy neighborhood coffeeshop with reasonable prices and a friendly atmosphere. They also roast and sell beans and have quite a decent selection on that front. Their drip coffee’s taste is okay, can be a bit bitter sometimes. Staff is very welcoming and professional. I am not a regular, I just go there once in a while but I can tell that they have great relationships with their regular customers.
In my opinion some of the best if not the best coffee in the twin cities. Definitely the best in St Paul. It has a very relaxed atmosphere and the staff are always very kind.
Great place to get beans, they come in 16oz bags. You can also get green beans here. Street parking only but it’s in a neighborhood and not too difficult to find a spot. Also great outdoor patio area.
This is a nice, unique place to grab a coffee with both indoor and outdoor seating. Had to park about a block away on the street but I think that’s worth it. I had the hot apple cider, which was really good.
